Jessica Hendricks is a 20 years old (in the year 2003), she was one
of the youngest people that were in the Iditarod of 2003. She lives in
Copper Center, Alaska. Jessica has been mushing since she was 10 and has
wanted to run in the Iditarod since then. She has been in the Jr. Iditarod
and the Jr. Quest and has also been in many mid distance races and has
finished all of them. She says that most of her dogs are from Erhart, Buser
and MacEAchen families. Jessica and her partner have trained and raised
all of her dogs since they were pups. Jessica loves to go hunting and fishing.
The picture on the far left (thanks to iditarod.com) is of Jessica and
Jerry Austin, Jerry was giving the "Rookie of the Year" award to her. The
picture in the middle (also thanks to iditarod.com) is of Jessica finishing
in 19th place coming into Nome. The far right picture it of school kids
petting Jessicas wheel dogs.
