What's Happening in 4D

We are really working hard in math.  This year 4D is once again using the Accelerated Math program.  This is an individualized math program that allows our students to move at their own rate.  There are 146 objects at the fourth grade level that students need to master.  Our goal is to master about 35 objectives a marking period in order to complete the fourth grade unit.  You can see how your student is doing in math and with their Accelerated Reading progress by checking on the home connect page and logging in using your child’s assigned username and password.

The election for president is over, there will be someone new in the White House, and we in the fourth grade at Memorial School turn our attention once again to trying to get the tomato declared our state vegetable.

Enzo of Pasta Grill by Enzo has been very supportive of our efforts since the beginning, donating much needed postage and pizza gift certificates to be given as door prizes at a fund raiser.  Now Enzo has built a beautiful web site for us.  Please check our new web site Votetomato.com.

We really need your help right now!  How can you help?  Call, fax, or e-mail your state legislators between March 22 and April 3.  We will be in Trenton on April 6th, National Tomato Day!

New Jersey Legislature - Find Your Legislator

Use this link to find the legislators from your district.  E-mail all of them asking that they pass the Tomato Bill this year.  After all, how can the Garden State not have a state vegetable?
