STUDENT HANDBOOK:
•ALL STUDENTS & PARENTS•
Your child will be given a student handbook the first day
of school. This handbook outlines tardiness, attendance, grading
standards, and the school's substance abuse policy among other
rules and regulations. Cooperation between the school and
home on these important issues will help ensure your child's
success at WCTS. Please take a few moments to go over the
handbook with your child. If you have any questions about
the information contained in the handbook, please call the
main office at 908.835.2811.
BELL SCHEDULE:
•ALL STUDENTS & PARENTS•
Please note the bell schedule in the student handbook or download
one here. Classes start at 8:02am and end at 2:58pm. Students
who drive to school should plan on arriving at approximately
8:00am. Days where there is a Delayed Opening will begin at
10:00am.
EMERGENCY CARDS:
•ALL STUDENTS & PARENTS•
It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that we are able to reach
you in the event of an emergency. Please fill out the emergency
card you receive in the back to school packet and be sure
to give us a daytime phone number where we can reach you.
If your address or phone number changes during the year, please
let us know immediately. Your child should return the completed
card to his or her career major teacher. If the card is not
back in a reasonable period of time, we will issue detentions
to students as a reminder. Students CANNOT work in their career
major area unless the emergency card is returned.
PROFICIENCIES:
•ALL STUDENTS & PARENTS• A copy of the proficiencies
taught in each course will be presented to students on their
first day of school. The students are required to sign a set
for each subject. These proficiencies will also be sent home
with your child to sign and return.
