Students who participate in Warren County Tech’s Health Sciences Academy
have a wide array of choices of career majors after graduating from Warren Tech.
Health Science 1 prerequisites: none 10 Credits
This year will be composed of coursework introducing health science and its
career possibilities. Also, the coursework may include topics in laboratory
techniques, general healthcare procedures, and public health concerns.
Health Science 2 prerequisites: Health Science 1 10 Credits
The students in this year will obtain information regarding general body systems
including introductory anatomy, and related disease processes. Other coursework
may include medical terminology, microbiology, and topics in pharmacology.
Health Science 3 prerequisites: Health Science 2 10 Credits
In this year, students will begin the first part of a two-part curriculum obtained
from UMDNJ. The curriculum will mainly be based on anatomy and physiology concepts
and applications. In addition to this, they will receive instruction on the
various ideas and theories of psychology.
Health Science 4 prerequisites: Health Science 2 10 Credits In this final year,
the student will conclude the two-part curriculum involving anatomy and physiology
from UMDNJ. Also, the students will gain knowledge through instruction regarding
morals in medicines, ethics, and jurisprudence.
