Lesson Plan Title: Tutoring Two

NJCCC Standards Addressed: 4.1A, 4.1B, 4.5A, 4.5F

Objectives: To practice basic facts and self-checking, to develop study tool, to practice arithmetic computation

Required Materials: Computer with Internet access and PowerPoint, scrap paper, pencils, Jeopardy printout

 

Anticipatory Set (Lead-In): How to save to student folder, How to change pre-made PowerPoint slides

 

Step-By-Step Procedures:

1.     Write all remaining problems and answers for Jeopardy on printouts.

2.     Discuss how they can check their work and why it would be important to do so.

3.     Use computers’ calculators to check work.

   

 Closure (Reflect Anticipatory Set): Review progress with each student

 

Assessment Based On Objectives (attach rubric from http://rubistar.4teachers.org/index.php) : Self-checking with calculator, collect PowerPoint printout and check problems vs. answers
