Lesson Plan Title: Tutoring One

NJCCC Standards Addressed: 4.1A, 4.1B, 4.5F

Objectives: To practice basic facts, to develop study tools, to practice arithmetic computation

Required Materials: Laptops with Internet access and PowerPoint, Jeopardy printout, scrap paper, pencils

Anticipatory Set (Lead-In): How to save to student folders, How to complete addition problems (2 digit + 2 digit)

Step-By-Step Procedures:

1. Introduce Jeopardy game template on PowerPoint and save to student folder.

2. Have students change category headings and save.

3. Use slide printout to have students complete problems and answers for addition problems

4. Math Arcade – FunBrain: Use passwords to log-in and continue work at last grade level completed.

 Closure (Reflect Anticipatory Set): Talk about problem levels they got to in Math Arcade 

Assessment Based On Objectives (attach rubric from http://rubistar.4teachers.org/index.php) : Collect PowerPoint printout and check problems vs. answers, Have students show new password before moving on.
