Culinary Arts/Chef Training
Warren County Technical School, Washington, N.J. will be offering post-secondary courses for the 2011-2012 school year in Culinary Arts/Chef Training. The courses will run from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday. Please call 908-835-2819 for further information, tuition rates and an application.
This program provides a comprehensive one-year educational program to prepare students for various entry-level management positions in the food service, hotels, and restaurant industries. The curriculum is designed to enable graduating students to pursue various positions such as Food Service Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, Banquet Manager, Purchasing Manager, Maitre D' Hotel, and Food Production Supervisor. Students will develop problem-solving skills that prepare them for exciting careers in culinary management and post-secondary education. At the end of the program students will be able to take the exam for ServSafe certification.
This program is broken down into four main areas of study:
- Kitchen Operations - Safety & Sanitation
- Culinary Arts I - Nutrition & Basic Principles
- Culinary Arts II - Advanced Principles
- Culinary Arts III - ServSafe
