Listservs are virtual "bulletin boards" where you can post questions and comments and respond to items posted by others, using nothing more than standard E-mail. A listserv mailing list basically allows you to send one message to a central address and have that message distributed to all other subscribers. The subscribers share a common interest, and in your case the Migratory Birds Project. If someone responds to your message, that response is, in turn, distributed to all subscribers. The result is a running conversation to which you can contribute or simply read as it progresses.

   How To Join The Listserv:
1. Create an e-mail message to: listserv@warrennet.org

2. Leave the "subject" line of that message blank.

3. For the first line of the message body type:

   SUBSCRIBE GIVEAHOOT(YOUR NAME)

4. Send the message.
