For children and adults with severe motor involvement it is often necessary for them to access the computer using a switch instead of using the mouse and a keyboard. There are literally hundreds of different types of switches that one can choose from. The examples on the page show a switch interface box that would allow a user to access a switch application by plugging the switch box into the USB port on the computer and then plugging a switch into the box. The on-screen keyboard also works with a switch and enables the individual to type using the on-screen keyboard.
